UVTEK Software

Status

UVTEK Software is a part-time programming effort by Thomas Krehbiel. Tom writes a programming and technology blog called Krehbiel Tech, or you can follow him on Twitter as @tkrehbiel (for general interest stuff) or @uvtek (for unintelligible programming stuff). Android

Tom started exploring Android development in April 2010 with his new HTC Incredible. Stay tuned to see if he gets anywhere.

To install the following Android apps, you have to go to Settings, Applications, and allow installing packages from unknown sources. (I'd recommend disabling it again after the install.) They were compiled to be compatible with Android 1.6 or later, but I have only tested them on an Android 2.1 HTC Incredible. These should be considered experimental at best.

BuildNumber. It displays a daily build number, similar to Microsoft's build number, but starting from a different date.
WordFind. A very simple letters game and an Android learning process. This early version relies on the honor system since there is no dictionary built-in. :) Click on "New Letters" to start a new game after the timer expires.

Galleria - Web picture gallery creator. (Dynamic picture managers are much better solutions.)
